Summer Games Fest Horror Highlights, Mike Flanagan's Carrie series cast, and some HIGHLY anticipated trailers.

What’s Going On In The World

Mike Flanagan’s Carrie Series Cast is Revealed: The Carrie series continues to chug along, and we’ve got some horror icons joining the cast, including Amber Midthunder and Matthew Lillard.
Phasmophobia Film in the Works: Blumhouse is continuing to get into the video game adaptation game with an adaptation of the popular indie ghost hunting game Phasmophobia.
Octavia Spencer Will Return for More MA in Blumhouse Sequel: Don’t worry, we won’t be MA-less for the MA sequel, with Oscar Winner Octavia Spencer returning in the titular role.
Trailers
Black Phone 2: With a bit of Nightmare on Elm Street Vibes, a bit of Friday the 13th vibes, and a whole lot of vibes all its own - the Grabber returns and it looks like it’s going way bigger after the first movie’s fairly contained setting.
Alien: Earth: After a lot of speculation about how exactly Noah Hawley’s Alien series would work, the show’s first trailer gives us a lot of answers on what exactly we’re getting ourselves into. If you wanna go in blind, avoid watching this.
ICK: From its soundtrack to its aesthetic to it starring Brandon Routh, ICK seems like a movie straight out of 2009. Whether that will make for a fun ride or a dud? Only time will tell, but early reviews seem positive.
Summer Games Fest Horror Highlights
E3 is dead and in its place Summer Games Fest has risen to take its place, with a bunch of horror games shown off that have caught our interest.
End of Abyss: Cold horror fans rejoice, End of Abyss is a top down survival horror game from ex-Little Nightmare developers that sees you exploring some kind of underground facility.
ILL Trailer: A first person horror game with a strong horror filmmaking pedigree - ILL’s developers (a team split across Canada and Armenia) have credits working on V/H/S/Beyond, Longlegs, and IT: Welcome to Derry and with some of the monster design going on in this trailer: it shows.
Resident Evil Requiem: And of course we have the big guns, the first look at the next mainline Resident Evil game plus a release date announcement: February 27th, 2026.
